Flood block: Goods trucks are stranded at Banbarduwah on Tuesday at the Assam-Arunachal border about 350 km from Guwahati. Floodwaters washed away a portion of the NH-52, which works as the lifeline for the people of Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. The number of affected people has gone up to three lakh in 347 villages of the Lakhimpur district. The District administration, with the help of the army, is in the process to installing the Bailey bridge to resume road connectivity via NH-52. —
