Mr Hemendra Kothari, Chairman, DSP Merrill Lynch and Chairman, Wildlife Conservation Trust, addressing a press conference in Mumbai. Mr Kothari rededicated his initiative - the Wildlife Conservation Trust - to saving the tiger. Mr Kothari said the survival of the tiger and its habitat is a crucial part of the battle against climate change. The conference facilitated the first public consultation of forest officials, NGOs and corporate supporters. Mr Bittu Sahgal of Sanctuary Magazine and forest officials of the key tiger states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan also took part in the conference.
