Metso bags Century Pulp order

New Delhi, June 19

Metso Paper has bagged an order to supply a new fibre line to Century Pulp and Paper's upcoming integrated pulp and paper mill in Uttaranchal. The line is scheduled to start at the end of 2009. The value of the order is close to ?23 million, a Metso release said. The new fibre line is designed for a daily capacity of 450 oven dry tonnes of bleached pulp. It will replace two smaller fibre lines and increase the pulp production. It will supply pulp to the company's newly invested tissue line, also supplied by Metso Paper. Metso is a Finland-based engineering and technology corporation with 2007 net sales of over ?6 billion. It serves customers in the pulp and paper industry, rock and minerals processing, the energy industry and selected other industries. - Our Bureau
