Industrial Policy States - Kerala TN plans 22 industrial estates on cluster basis Our Bureau Chennai, June 19 The Tamil Nadu Government is planning to develop 22 industrial estates across the State on the cluster basis to promote and encourage micro, small and medium industries. It has identified 20 areas in districts including Perambalur, Thiruvarur, Villupuram, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Madurai and Tiruchi for the purpose, said Mr D. Rajendran, Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation (Tansidco). To develop required infrastructure in these areas, the State Government will seek partial funding from the Central Government’s cluster development programme, he said, while speaking at the inauguration of ACMEE 2008, the eighth biennial edition of International Auto Components and Machine Tools Exhibition conducted by the Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association.
