A television channel flashing the news on inflation, which breached 11 per cent to touch 13-year high on higher fuel prices. Stocks tumbled sharply on Friday after the data. The inflation rate exceeded economists’ expectations of 9.8 per cent, and was the highest since the 11.1 per cent it touched for the week-ended May 6, 1995. —
