Karnataka Bank raises deposit rates

Mangalore, June 21

The Karnataka Bank has increased the interest rate on term deposit for tenure of one year to less than three years. A bank release said here on Saturday that the rate of interest for deposits of one year to less than three years will be 9 per cent with effect from June 23. The previous rate was 8.75 per cent for one year to less than two years and 9 per cent for two years to less than three years. The interest rate on deposits of senior citizens for the same period will be 9.75 per cent. For deposits of three to five years the rate of interest will continue to be 9.25 per cent, the release added. - Our Bureau
