Shakti Bhog Foods enters South

Bangalore, June 24

Marking its entry in the South, Delhi-based Shakti Bhog Foods has launched its ‘Shakti Bhog Premier Aata’ (wheat flour) along with a host of other products in Bangalore and neighbouring areas. Mr K.K. Kumar, Managing Director, Shakti Bhog, said, “Bangalore is a very prime market for us, and we plan to make sales of around Rs 100 crore during the first two years, and will cross Rs 500 crore within five years. We will capture almost 60 per cent market share in Karnataka. We are very soon introducing health food products in India.” The products will be available in organised and unorganised retail chains and local malls in Karnataka. Shakti Bhog Foods has manufacturing plants in Jalandhar, Greater Noida, Kanpur and Ujjain. The company plans to set up another manufacturing plant in the North by 2010. Apart from catering to northern India, it exports its products to the US, Europe and West Asia.
