Promotions & Offers Hyundai to offer fuel vouchers for i10, Santro Our Bureau New Delhi, June 24 In anticipation of sluggish market arising out of combination of factors such as high interest rates and fuel prices, Hyundai Motor India Ltd said it would offer free fuel voucher worth Rs 2,700, with every Santro and i10 purchased between June 20 and 30. The offer, which is being executed in association with Indian Oil Corporation, is expected to offset the additional cost of fuel with the recent increase. Hyundai said that the fuel voucher was being provided on the assumption that the customer commutes approximately 50 km every day and the additional amount that the owner spends in the first six months due to the increased price corresponds to the company’s offering. “This is our way of helping customers cope with the increased fuel costs, and to demonstrate that the hike translates into just Rs 2,700 additional fuel bills for a period of six months, given the fuel efficiency of a Santro or an i10,” said Mr Arvind Saxena, Senior Vice-President, Hyundai Motor India. According to dealer sources, Hyundai is also offering a free insurance on the two models. Considering the cost of insurance at Rs 10,000-11,000, the discount on these cars would go up to Rs 12,000-13,000. Maruti Suzuki is also offering discount of Rs 20,000 plus an insurance, taking the discounts up to Rs 30,000. However, Maruti official said that the discounts are the same that it offers usually every month and there has not been any major increase in the current month.
