Chennai, June 24 For the first time the Ennore Port carried out ship-to-ship (STS) operations in its outer anchorage involving transfer of 22,500 tonnes of LPG last Friday.

The mother vessel LPG/C ‘Flanders Tenacity’ transferred 12,000 tonnes of butane and 10,500 tonnes of propane to LPG/C ‘Oriental Queen, which later sailed for Haldia. The operation was carried out in the designated anchorage area, which has been notified by Chennai Customs.
