Farm credit States - Tamil Nadu IOB farm loan waiver inspection Thanjavur, June 25 In connection with the Union Government’s agricultural debt waiver and debt relief scheme 2008, the General Manager of Indian Overseas Bank, Mr R. Krishnan, visited Kandiyur and Kalyanapuram branches of IOB on June 21 to supercheck the list of farmers who are eligible for waiver or relief under the scheme. Distributing the waiver certificates to few eligible farmers on the occasion, the General Manager informed that under the scheme 25,353 farmers of Thanjavur distri ct and 7,854 farmers of Perambalur district will be benefiting to the tune of Rs 54.73 crore. Mr Krishnan also informed that necessary arrangements are being made for granting new loans to the farmers whose overdue loans were waived under the scheme. The Chief Regional Manager, Mr T.
