Hyderabad, June 25

Anjani Portland Cement Ltd’s net profit increased 51 per cent to Rs 17.6 crore in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2008 against Rs 11.6 crore in the previous year. The total sales had gone up 73 per cent to Rs 153.7 crore (Rs 88.9 crore), according to a release. The Hyderabad-based company’s profits were driven by growth in volumes, higher realisations and decline in cost of production due to higher energy efficiencies, Mr K.V.
