Momentive, Anabond tie up

Chennai, June 26

Momentive Performance Materials Inc (formerly GE Bayer Silicones), through its India subsidiary Momentive Performance Materials (India) Pvt Ltd, has joined hands with Chennai-based Anabond Ltd to develop, manufacture and market ‘Spur Sealants’ for the Indian market. Utilising Momentive’s research, development support and expertise of the ‘Spur’ pre-polymer, Anabond will manufacture ‘Spur Sealants’ for the sealant market under Momen tive’s license. According to Mr J. Vijayakumar, Managing Director and co-founder of Anabond, this agreement allows the two companies to jointly develop sealants and market them in defined markets. Momentive will market this product in the construction segment and Anabond will market in it in the automotive and electrical and electronics segments. Other areas not specified under this agreement are open to both the companies for marketing their products. Spur silicone sealant is a hybrid that has properties such as non-stain, non-bleed, fast cure and primer-less adhesion.
