HP’s Indigo Digital Press

Vijayawada, June 26

Hewlett Packard Indigo Digital Press 3050, the most advanced of its kind, was installed at Bhaskar Digital Studio here on Thursday. It is the first in the State. Mr Paresh Shetty, the country manager, graphics and imaging business, HP India Sales Pvt Ltd, said that with the installation of the press, costing Rs 2.2 crore, Bhaskar Digital Studio had become a pioneer and leader in digital printing. “We have so far installed 48 such machines in the country, mostly in the major cities, and even Hyderabad does not have such a machine. The machines are manufactured in Israel and imported from that country and there are 5,500 such machines in the world,” he said. Capable of printing over 4000 A 4 colour sheets and 16,000 black and white sheets in an hour, the HP Indigo Digital Press can also create a variety of solutions being linked with a wide range of data. The high resolution colour images are better than offset printing and modification is easier with the HP Indigo Press, says a press release issued on the occasion. – Our Bureau
