KG Info to provide talent search for US, UK clients

L.N. Revathy

Coimbatore, June 27 City-based KG Information Systems Pvt Ltd (KGISL) has started providing executive talent search for clients in the US and UK.

The company is currently servicing 10 corporate clients in the US, its Vice-President (Corporate Relations), Mr B. Jayamurali, told Business Line.

Stating that the company is into passive recruitment, he explained that KGISL has worked with companies such as Maersk and recruitment heads of various corporates instead of buying resume from job portals such as jobstreet or naukri.

The company’s executive talent acquisition group would then do a lot of research — both Web-and phone-based — to find the right candidate.

The process starts with ‘green sheeting’, wherein an in-depth examination of the information collected from the hiring managers is made, before analysing the technical specifications.

“We have associates sitting here. They also do the search before confirming with the recruiter,” he said, adding “we are not a recruitment agency”.

However, having commenced the executive talent search service, KGISL has been able to build a database of over 5-lakh professionals. “The database is current, updated from time to time by the talent acquisition group. We keep track of these executives moves, prepare a QIA (Qualified, Interested and Affordable) report for each position,” he said.

Asked if the reported slowdown in the US had any impact he said, “We have not seen any dip in our clients requirements.

There is a slowdown no doubt, but not on the lines of the dotcom bust or the job cuts/pink slips issued in the early part of this century.

The slowdown is due to steep rise in gasoline prices, there is greater pressure on margins and profit.”
