New IBA Chairman



Mr T.S. Narayanasami

Mumbai, June 27

The Indian Banks’ Association has elected Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of India, Mr T.S. Narayanasami, as its Chairman. He takes over from Mr M.B.N. Rao of Canara Bank who is superannuating this month-end, an IBA release said here.

Mr P.K. Gupta, Mr K.C. Chakrabarty and Mr Aditya Puri, CMDs of United Bank, Punjab National Bank and HDFC Bank, respectively, have been elected as Deputy Chairpersons of the apex body of bankers. The General Manager and CEO, Citizen Credit Co-operative Bank, Mr V.J. Caarneiro, would be the Honorary Secretary of the Association, the release added.
