Ms Sudha Raju, Principal Officer Corporate Affairs of Manipal Education, will the convener of the forum.

The forum’s initiative will be focused on creating a sustainable platform for aspiring women leaders by facilitating support and expertise from a policy and industry perspective. It intends to focus on three segments – Women Executives, Women Entrepreneurs and Homemakers. The Minister emphasised the need to improve literacy levels among women, which stood at 54.16 per cent against 75.85 per cent among the males and regretted that women’s representation in Parliament and in the State Assemblies has never been beyond 8 and 10 per cent respectively. Most of the working women remain outside the organised sector. Only 2.3 per cent women are administrators and managers.
