New CMD for Canara Bank

New Delhi, June 28 Canara Bank will have a new Chairman and Managing Director in Mr A.C. Mahajan, from July 1. Mr Mahajan is currently the Chairman and Managing Director of Allahabad Bank. Mr Mahajan will take over from the incumbent Chairman and Managing Director, Mr M.B.N. Rao, who is to superannuate on June 30. The Government has issued an executive order confirming Mr Mahajan's appointment as CMD of Canara Bank with effect from July 1, sources said. - K.R. Srivats
