TEA seeks TN govt intervention on lorry strike

Coimbatore, June 30 The Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) has expressed its apprehension over the indefinite strike threat issued by the lorry owners in Tamil Nadu from July 2 and its likely impact on the movement of export cargo from Tirupur.

The TEA in a communication addressed to the Union Finance Minister and the Surface Transport Minister, it said that said many exporters are worried that any dislocation in the garment shipment would spell cancellation of export orders.
