Events Lean Management meet to be held in Mumbai, Chennai Our Bureau Pune, July 4 Dr Jim Womack, Chairman and Founder, Lean Enterprise Institute and Vice-Chairman, Lean Global Network, would address Indian business leaders at the first-ever Lean Management Summit 2008 to be held in Mumbai on August 4, and in Chennai on August 6. He is also the co-author of books such as The Machine That Changed the World, Lean Thinking, and Lean Solutions. Lean Management Summit is being organised by Lean Management Institute of India (LMII), an independent not-for-profit company, to promote Lean Management in various industries, especially in manufacturing and services sectors. Founded by Mr Siddhartha Lal and Mr S. Sandilya of the Eicher Group in their individual capacities, the company will be guided in its operation by a Board of Governors, which is being constituted, an official release has stated.
