Awards & Honours Hindustan Zinc bags FIMI award Mumbai, July 4 Hindustan Zinc’s Rampura Agucha mine has been selected for “FIMI Excellence Awareness - Bala Gulshan Tandon award” for 2007-08. Instituted in 2004-05, the award recognises the contribution by holistic approach on the overall performance. The award consists of a silver shield to be presented at the 42nd Annual General Meeting of the Federation to be held on August 9, 2008 in New Delhi. The Rampura-Agucha mine of HZL is situated 220 km of Jaipur. Rated amon gst the top world-class zinc mines, Rampura Agucha mine has recently expanded its capacity to 5.00 mtpa from 3.75 mtpa of ore production. With Phase-III expansions already underway in Rajpura Dariba in Rajasthan, Hindustan Zinc would increase its production capacity by 3.10 lakh tonnes an annum.
