Portal on rural livelihood launched

New Delhi, July 4 The Government has launched a multi-lingual portal that would offer information related to rural livelihoods, including agriculture, primary education, health, rural energy and e-governance. The portal www.indg.in was launched here by the President, Ms Pratibha Devisingh Patil.

The portal would host content in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, and Bengali, besides English. Speaking on the occasion, the President said that the portal would link Panchayats and open a window of opportunity for rural development. The portal has been developed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).
