Canara Bank hikes deposit rates

Bangalore, July 5

Canara Bank has revised the interest rates on domestic term deposits for tenors ranging from 91 days to 5 years and above with effect from July 5. The revised rate for tenors 91 days to 179 days is 7.00 per cent, up from 6 per cent. Deposit rates for tenors between 180 days to 1 year is to 8.25 per cent, an increase of 125 basis points. Deposits up to 2 years will earn 9.50 per cent, instead of 8.25 per cent. Deposits up to 3 years will earn 9.50 per cent up from 8.75 per cent years.
