Outsourcing Value Labs in expansion mode V. Rishi Kumar Hyderabad, July 8 Outsourcing services provider Value Labs is on an expansion drive. It is setting up offices in West Asia, Australia and Europe even as it strengthens its India resource base. The company is evaluating the possibility of setting up a centre in a Tier-II city. It is also creating a second campus either in Hyderabad or Pune, where it has a 30-acre site. The centre in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia is also being ramped up. The Senior Vice-President, Marketing, Value Labs, Mr Ram Manjeri, told Business Line “the company is in the process of commissioning centres in Dubai in West Asia and Brisbane in Australia and awaiting necessary approvals.” “With revenues of $40 million last fiscal and 1,500 employees, Value Labs is looking at closing this fiscal with revenues of about $60 million, a growth of about 50 per cent. We have the capacity to add about 600 more people in the Hyderabad facility and are looking at another campus,” he said. HP’s SNAPFISHThe company manages about 60 overseas development centres for technology companies as an extension of their research teams. One such centre is that of Snapfish, a Hewlett-Packard company, which helps users manage their digital assets online. “We have over 300 resources working on Snapfish alone and we manage their presence in over 12 countries. These cover development, customer support and data centres. Along with support to Snapfish, we also help some of their partners and also work with companies like AOL,” he explained.
