IEEE sets up Bangalore chapter

Bangalore, July 8

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a body that drives new standards in key areas of technology, on Tuesday announced the formal inception of the Bangalore chapter of IEEE Computer society.

This is the fourth such chapter in India after Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Prof S. Sadagopan, Director, IIIT-B, Chairperson; Dr K.S.R. Anjaneyulu, HP Labs India, Vice-Chairperson; Mr C.R. Vishwanath, Volvo India, Secretary; Dr Anbumani Subramanian, HP Labs India, Treasurer and Prof S.V. Sankaran, SAP Labs and Dr S. Ramani, IIIT-B, have been named as advisors. -Our Bureau
