NMCE to launch new guarseed, turmeric contracts

Ahmedabad, July 9 The National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE) is launching new series for futures contract in guar seed and turmeric with effect from tomorrow.

The new series in guar Seed (10MT) and turmeric – called November-2008 contracts – will expire on November 20, while the delivery period for both the commodities will begin three days prior to that on November17, the Exchange said here on Wednesday.

The basis delivery centre for guar seed is at Deesa (Gujarat) and that for turmeric at Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) warehouse at Erode (Tamil Nadu) and additional delivery centre at Nizamabad (AndhraPradesh).
