New entrepreneurs should come forward to start seafood process and also prawn-feed units taking advantage of huge seafood potential and growing shrimp farms in the 188-km long coast in Nagapattinam district, he said on Friday. Issuing licences for 105 more persons to start shrimp farms in the district, the Collector said that 555 licences were issued last year and the total number of shrimp farms for prawn culture had gone up to 1,783 in the district.
