Rusni, Prithvi Bio sign pact

Hyderabad, July 11

Rusni Distilleries Pvt Ltd has signed a pact with Prithvi Bio-Projects to set up a multi-feedstock ethanol plant in Nellore. Rusni runs a sweet sorghum-based ethanol plant in association with ICRISAT at Mohammed Shapur village in Medak district. Mr A.R. Palaniswamy, Managing Director of Rusni, would provide technical know-how and project consultancy to set up the 100-kilolitre-a-day plant. The plant would have a catchment area of 20,000 acres. It would be operational by th e end of 2009. —
