I-T Dept to open special counters

Hyderabad, July 11

The Income Tax Department will open special counters at Shapoorwadi House in Adarshnagar for accepting the returns of the salaried class assessees who are residing or working in Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts and whose income doesn't include income from business or profession. "We have decided to open these counters keeping in mind the likely rush for filing of returns from July 15 to 31, 2007. (It is open to) All pensioners and salaried employees of banks (including RBI), LIC, private organisations, hospitals, medical institutions and private educational institutes," a press release said. - Our Bureau
