B.S. course in aviation

Kochi, July 13 Hyderabad-based Sreenidhi Institute of Science & Technology (SNIST), in collaboration with Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology (VCAT), New York, has announced the launch of their B.S. course in aviation at Kochi.

The courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical education (AICTE). SNIST-Vaughn collaboration is the only such arrangement in India which has approval from AICTE to offer the courses in B.S. – Airline Management, Airport Management and Electronic Engineering Technology (Avionics).

Dr Kalpana Jain, Vice-President of Vaughn College, said that the flourishing aviation industry in India presented excellent job opportunities for graduates from the aviation programmes.

India is fast becoming the international hub for general aviation, cargo and MRO facilities in the South Asia region and will require skilled workforce in large numbers.
