Micro enterprises to observe strike

Coimbatore, July 13

Members of the Tamil Nadu Association of Cottage and Micro Enterprises (TACT) in Coimbatore will close is shutters on July 16 and take out a rally demanding uninterrupted power supply. In a statement, Mr J. James, President, TACT, Coimbatore district, said for the past nine months, the industrial units were facing three to four hours of stoppage in power supply daily and the cottage and micro enterprises have been incurring a monthly loss of Rs 70 crore due to wages paid without any work. He said the members would take out a rally from Gandhipuram to the head office of TNEB in Tatabad here on that day and demand uninterrupted power supply. - Our Bureau
