The India facilities have been involved in almost 90 per cent of all our products. It focuses on full delivery and support of products, and also on the integration strategy in terms of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA),” he said. The company also has multiple delivery centres across US, the UK and China, amongst others. India accounts for almost 40 per cent of the overall R&D work for the company. The Wayne, Pennsylvania headquartered company employs over 17,900 people in over 400 offices in 30 countries. SunGard, whose annual revenue is pegged at $5 billion has four areas of business – availability services, financial systems, higher education and public sector. Mr Gill said that while India comprises a small fraction of its overall sale revenue from Asia (the largest Asian markets being Australia and New Zealand, Japan, China and Korea), the company is bullish about India as a market, especially given the growth prospects in financial services segment. “India and China are two markets we are putting our energy into.
