TRF wins 2 orders

Kolkata, July 16

TRF Ltd - a Tata enterprise - has won a Rs 413.85 crore turnkey order from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for setting up the coal handling plant at the proposed 2 X 600 mw Ragunathpur Power project in West Bengal. The project will be completed within 30 months from the date of contract. According to a company release issued on Wednesday, TRF had won the Rs 305 crore contract from Aravalli Power (an NTPC joint venture) in February this year. The company had posted 29 per cent growth in turnover to Rs 450 crore in 2007-08. Net profit increased by 110 crore to Rs 42 crore. Turnover is expected to cross the Rs 800 crore mark in 2008-09. - Our Bureau
