Coimbatore, July 16 Mysore Cements Ltd has informed that the High Court of Karnataka at Bangalore has directed that a meeting of the equity shareholders of the company be held on August 6 for considering, and if thought fit, approving with or without modification(s), the proposed Scheme of Amalgamation of Indorama Cement Ltd and HeidelbergCement India Pvt Ltd into and with the company.

Ramco Systems Ltd has informed that a meeting of the Board of Directors will be held on July 23 to consider issue of equity shares on rights basis.

Tata Metaliks Ltd’s Board of Directors has approved setting up a sinter plant at Kharagpur at an estimated investment of Rs 75 crore.

Thermax Ltd has received an order from a major refinery to supply pulverised coal fired boilers for their captive co-generation plant. The refinery is currently implementing significant capacity expansion slated to process up to 35 million TPA of crude. The refinery’s CCP will consist of 4 x 750 TPH (total 2400 MWt output) boilers to be manufactured by the company under technology licence from Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc, US. The high-pressure steam will generate 390 MW of electricity and the balance energy produced will be used for process heating within the refinery, Indonesian coal will be used as fuel to fire these boilers. The order is valued at approximately Rs 820 crore ($200 million), which is the single largest order received by the company till date.

Titan Industries Ltd has launched its third major line of consumer business optical eyewear under the name and style of ‘Titan Eye+’ with its first store at Bangalore. Titan Eye+ is the retail chain of stores in the prescription eyewear business having product offering of frames, lenses, (including contact lenses) and allied optical services like eye check up. The product offering besides frames of Titan, Titan Eye+ and Dash brands, also includes a number of licensed brands in the fashion and high-end segment of eyewear and sun glasses. The company is now launching the national roll out of Titan Eye+ and shall set up over 200 stores in the next 3 years.

TRF Ltd has announced the receipt of an order worth Rs 413.85 crore from Damodar Valley Corporation for design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of coal handling plant on turn-key basis for 2 X 600 MW Raghunathpur Power Project (Phase-1).
