Fertilisers Government - Policy Ammonium sulphate, TSP subsidies notified Our Bureau New Delhi, July 17 Indigenous ammonium sulphate has been brought under the subsidy (concession) scheme with effect from July 1. The notification to this effect has been made fixing the maximum retail price (MRP) of this fertiliser at Rs 10,350 a tonne. The market price of ammonium sulphate was ruling around Rs 19,000 a tonne before it was brought under the concession scheme, the release said. The earlier decision to bring indigenous and imported triple super phosphate (TSP) under the subsidy scheme has also been notified. Under the subsidy scheme TSP from decontrolled phosphatic and potassic fertilisers will have an MRP of Rs 7,460 per tonne from April 1, 2008. Monthly concession for indigenous and imported TSP will be based on the average of low and high f.o.b. prices of TSP published in the Fertiliser Market Bulletin (FBM) plus the freight for the previous month or the actual weighted average of the landed price for the month under consideration, whichever is lower.
