FMC suspends Chennai-based co

Mumbai, July 18

The commodity market regulator Forward Markets Commission (FMC) has suspended Chennai-based Altos Advisory Services Pvt Ltd and prohibited it from entering into any forward contracts for the sale or purchase in its own name or through another member of a recognised Commodity Exchange of any goods or class of goods, for a period of three years. Altos Advisory is a member of MCX, Mumbai and NMCE, Ahmedabad. The two exchanges have been directed to take appropriate action. The member-company was suspended for indulging in futures trading outside the exchanges in various commodities, a release from FMC said.
