CPI-based inflation down in June

New Delhi, July 18 Indicative of a softening trend in the prices of items of common use, the inflation rate based on All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Agricultural Labourers, released here on Friday, has come down marginally in June this year to 8.77 from 9.11 per cent in May and based on the index for rural labourers, the inflation rate has come down to 8.75 per cent in June as against 8.84 per cent in May.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Labour here today, the All-India Consumer Price Index Number for Agricultural Labourers and Rural Labourers for June 2008 went up by 3 and 4 points respectively, to stand at 434 and 435 points
