IL&FS Investment Managers standalone net up 64%

Mumbai, July 21 IL&FS Investment Managers Ltd, the private equity investment arm of IL&FS, today reported a 63.7 per cent jump in its standalone net profit at Rs 9.5 crore against Rs 5.8 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The company’s total income stood at Rs 25 crore, up from Rs 17 crore in the year ago-period.

The net sales of the company increased by 39 per cent to Rs 23.5 crore (Rs 16.9 crore).

The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 13 crore and total income of Rs 35 crore. The diluted EPS of the company was Rs 2.32.

The share price of IL&FS Investment Managers closed up 0.20 per cent at Rs 199.3 on the BSE today.

IL&FS Investsmart

IL&FS Investsmart, reported a 55.7 per cent drop in its standalone net profit for the first quarter of the current fiscal. Its net profit fell to Rs 3.5 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2008 against Rs.7.9 crore in the corresponding year ago quarter.

The total income also fell by 51.8 per cent to Rs 8.1 crore (Rs 16.8 crore). The net sales decreased to Rs 3.04 crore (Rs 12.4 crore), this is a 75 per cent dip from the corresponding year-ago quarter.

The consolidated net profit of the company is Rs 1.13 crore and its total income stood at Rs 71 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008.

The share price of the company closed up 0.13 per cent at Rs 197 from its previous close on the BSE.
