NMCE guarseed settlement price

Ahmedabad, July 22

The guar seed July 2008 futures contract traded on National Multi-Commodity Exchange settled at Rs 2,024 a quintal. The settlement price was arrived at by taking Jodhpur (Rajasthan) as the basis centre. The turmeric July 2008 futures contract, which also expired on Saturday, was settled at Rs 4,813 a quintal with Erode (Tamil Nadu) as the basis centre. The maturity or settlement price of the commodities is arrived at by averaging out their respective closing prices of the preceding three days. —
