Consolidated net of TRF at Rs 8 cr

Kolkata, July 22 TRF Ltd, a Tata Group company, has registered a consolidated net profit of Rs 7.73 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2008.

The consolidated net sales income during April-June 2008 was Rs 124.72 crore. Comparative consolidated figures for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 are not available as the company acquired its Singapore-based subsidiaries in October 2007.

According to a press release issued by the company, on a standalone basis, TRF Ltd notched a net income from sales of Rs 59.67 crore in the first quarter of 2008-09 against Rs 66.35 crore in the corresponding period last year. On a standalone basis, the net profit during April-June 2008 stood at Rs 3.86 crore compared with Rs 4.65 crore in the corresponding period of 2007.

TRF recently won its largest-ever order valued at Rs 414 crore from Damodar Valley Corporation, according to the release.
