Airnetz to bring affordable travel to India

Airnetz Aviation Pvt Ltd, a Mumbai-based private jet, helicopter and turbo prop charter services company, plans to bring single-engine and twin-engine aircrafts to India to start affordable travel for the masses.

According to a press release from the company, a single engine aircraft’s hourly operating cost will be approximately Rs 2,000 for a four-seater aircraft. A twin-engine hourly operating cost will be around Rs 4,000 for a five-seater aircraft. An hour’s journey will cover any destination in the range of 250 to 300 km, said the statement.

“A Volvo bus’ ticket costs that much,” said Mr Atul Khekade, Chief Executive Officer of Airnetz Aviation Pvt Ltd. Various manufacturing companies such as Diamond Air, Epic Aircraft, and Airo Aviation manufacture these aircraft, which cost around Rs 60 lakh, the release said. The company has a fleet of more than 100 aircraft in India, it said.
