Vizag to get jute park

Hyderabad, July 22 The Andhra Pradesh Jute Development Centre, a newly formed organisation to promote jute industry in the State, has said that it would set up a Rs 100-crore Jute Park at Sabbavaram in Visakhapatnam district. Addressing a news conference, Mr B.V. Rama Rao, President of Federation of Andhra Pradesh Industries and Managing Director of Swarnandhra Jute Mills, has claimed that the State assured to give 150 acres for the park.

“The park would house four major jute industries and several small and medium enterprises that are into making of value-added products in jute,” he said.

According to him, the Centre had also plans to set up a training centre at the park.
