Hyundai begins exports to Sudan

New Delhi, July 23

Hyundai Motor India Ltd would be exporting cars as disassembled knocked down units to Sudan due to the tax incentives offered by its Government. The company has received an order for more than 2,000 units, of which the first shipment comprised 96 DKD units of its popular compact, i10. “DKD units offer certain advantages to importers and this automatically makes imports a lot more attractive. We are today embarking on a new journey with the shipment of the first consi gnment of DKD cars which is also a first for us as well as the automotive industry here in India. Sudan has already been importing HMIL cars and the i10 in DKD is an addition to this. ” said the Hyundai Motor India Managing Director, Mr H.S. Lheem. —
