Satyam, Infospectrum join to serve aviation cos

Hyderabad, July 23 IT services provider Satyam Computer has announced it has signed an agreement with Infospectrum to provide third-party maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and component repair services for the global aviation industry.

Based in Los Angeles, Infospectrum offers custom and packaged software to aviation sector companies, and those in aerospace and defence in the areas of complex engineering, manufacturing, maritime and telecommunications.

Through this partnership, Satyam plans to do value addition by bringing global implementation and support capabilities as well as skills in system configuration and installation, functional and technical training.

This will be backed by hosting software as a service model.

The Senior Vice President of Satyam’s Travel and Logistics Practice, Mr Saikrishna Mandaparthy, in a statement to BSE said, “Our strength lies in our global delivery model for affordable services, particularly maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), where Infospectrum has an established customer base and technology.”

Infospectrum will also harness the potential of a support centre in Hyderabad. The two companies will collaborate to integrate enterprise and maintenance systems and also improve workflow and communication.

The President of Infospectrum, Mr Suresh Iyer, said, “This alliance will be effective as we expand our capabilities to serve commercial and military aviation business. This partnership strengthens global reach where Satyam has presence.”
