Kolkata, July 24

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) has planned to seek international accreditations from leading American and European agencies that rate business schools. A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the institute’s Board of Governors that was held here on Wednesday. According to a press release issued by IIMC, the institute will seek certificates from the US-based Association of Advanced Collegiate School of Business and the European Foundati on of Management Development, which hands out the European Quality Improvement System label. The international accreditations are expected to help IIMC gain better global access and help it in forging alliances with other international institutes, the release adds. —
