Mangalore, July 24

Dr L.H. Manjunath, Executive Director of the Dharmasthala-based NGO microfinance institution the Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), has been invited by the ‘Micro Credit Summit’ to be held at Bali in Indonesia from July 28 to 30. A press release by the institution said that Dr Manjunath will address the conference on ‘Innovations in cost reduction and enhancing productivity’. The release said that the institution — founded by Dr Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala — is accredited for its efficiency in managing the operations at a narrow spread of 3.75 per cent. The lending rate of SKDRDP at 12.5 per cent is the lowest in the sector, it added. –
