Our Bureau

New Delhi, July 25 UnitedLex, a provider of legal consulting, analytics and outsourcing solutions, on Wednesday announced it has received a new round of funding worth $6 million.

The latest ‘Series B investment’ was led by Canaan Partners, a global venture capital fund and Helion Venture Partners, which had also participated in UnitedLex’s first round of investment in 2007.

UnitedLex also outlined plans for expansion of its Global Delivery Network with the opening of a second delivery center in Gurgaon, later this quarter. While the current delivery centre has a capacity for 200 professionals, the new facility would be a 750-seater. The company also has operations in Atlanta, Florida (immigration related work) and Texas (onshore litigation support).

“The operations in the Gurgaon SEZ offer cross-industry consulting and outsourcing services in litigation support, contracts and sourcing management, intellectual property and immigration, as well as industry-specific services focused on the legal, financial, technology, energy and life sciences sectors.

“We also offer custom services and technology solutions, including the redesign and implementation of legal risk management practices for the banking and insurance industries, the management of a company’s end-to-end contracting lifecycle, and bespoke technology applications embedded in its enterprise platform, LexBase,” Mr Anup Bhasin, Chief Operating Officer of UnitedLex said.
