Canon India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Canon Singapore Pte Ltd, said it has launched Canon Image & Business Solutions Lounge in Bangalore, where customers can touch, feel and try its products.

The new showrooms are not sales point, the company said. The image lounge will exhibit the entire range of consumer products such as printers, scanner, projector, digital camera and others, said Mr Kensaku Konishi, President and Chief Executive.

The Business Solutions Lounge will cater to the large corporates as well as small and medium enterprises and will exhibit business equipment, the company said.

Mr Konishi said sales in India in the first half of 2008 grew 34 per cent, compared with the corresponding period last year. The company said it expects sales of Rs 700 crore in India this year. For the first half of the year, sales were Rs 320 crore, it added.
