ICICI Lombard's plan for students
Coimbatore, July 29
ICICI Lombard has re-launched its student travel
insurance product. "We are now offering it online," its
Head of Marketing and E-Channel, Mr Kartik, told
Business Line. He said the online offer of the product
would enable students avail themselves of the cover even
from the airport.
ICICI Lombard has mapped the specific requirements of
500 universities to offer customised insurance cover.
"Most of the universities are in the US. We have also
mapped the requirements of the universities in the UK
and Australia. Russia and Canada are just picking up,
with students eyeing these countries to pursue higher
studies."Stating that it would be cost-effective to buy the
policy in India, he said "the savings could be around Rs
30,000."
He explained that the entire transaction of locating the
right policy suitable to the university, registering details
and making online payment, would take just about 10
minutes. The cover is for a one-year period and can be
extended online, he added. - Our Bureau
