Mergers & Acquisitions Capgemini in pact to buy Dutch firm Our Bureau Pune, July 30 Capgemini, player in consulting, IT services and outsourcing, has reached an in principle agreement with Getronics Pink Roccade (GPR) for the acquisition of Getronics Pink Roccade Business Application Services BV (BAS BV). This division regroups GPR’s applications services activities (applications development, maintenance and management) in the Netherlands. Through this acquisition, Capgemini will reinforce its leadership position in one of its key markets, while developing a stable portfolio of long-term applications management contracts in the public sector. This acquisition amounts to an equity value of €255 million paid in cash on Capgemini own resources. The transaction should be finalised by the end of the year, subject to the approval of the European Commission and to the consultation of the relevant Workers Council. With a twenty-year presence in the Netherlands, Capgemini and its subsidiary Sogeti today have nearly 7,800 employees and in Benelux made €1,168 million in revenues in 2007.
