Alliances & Joint Ventures XL Telecom, Mola Solaire in solar-wafer pact Our Bureau Hyderabad, July 30 XL Telecom has announced that it has entered into an agreement with German manufacturer Mola Solaire Produktions, for supply of multi-crystalline solar wafers, a key input for solar cell manufacture facility coming up near here. As per the terms, Mola Solaire, a manufacturer of multi-crystalline and mono-crystalline solar wafers, will deliver approximately 125 mw of wafers to XL Telecom over a five year period commencing 2008 through to 2013. The Chief Executive Officer of XL Telecom, Mr Dinesh Kumar, said “as we work to achieve our capacity expansion and growth plans to meet the demand for photovoltaic market, in Mola Solaire, we have a partner to bank on supply of wafer required to meet supplies.” The Executive Director of XL, Mr Vasudev Rao, told Business Line that wafer is one of the key ingredients for the solar cell plant coming up near Hyderabad with an outlay of Rs 350 crore.
